I am pleased to announce that the University of the West of England is now inviting applications for a major new post in the Centre for Transport & Society (CTS) - Professor of Transport Studies.
Ê
Personal travel and mobility are key concerns in relation to economic activity, climate change, public health and wellbeing. Understanding the issues and changing behaviours are critical if these issues are to be addressed.
Ê
We are seeking an outstanding individual to further enhance our capacity to rise to these challenges.
Ê
This senior full-time appointment (starting in Spring 2009) is intended to complement and build upon the existing strength of the CTS. The disciplinary focus of the new post has, quite deliberately, not been specifically defined. We are keen to entertain a broad scope of possibility
- relating especially, to the application of social sciences to transport (economics, political science, psychology, sociology, geography).
